About this race:
Spina bifida and hydrocephalus can often be detected during pregnancy, at the 20-week ultrasound scan. Receiving a diagnosis can be an anxious and confusing time for expectant parents.
Shine’s Little Stars programme proactively provides specialist support for children aged 0-10 who have spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. We are there from before birth, providing advice and information to parents and carers, opportunities for families to meet others with the conditions and expert knowledge through our specialist health, education and welfare teams.
We are a listening ear for parents or carers who need to talk through their concerns, and aim to build confidence and knowledge to help families best support their child. Little Stars is vital to helping Shine achieve our goal of improving outcomes through early intervention.
Early intervention is critical if we are to improve outcomes for those with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and associated conditions. Your donation would enable Shine’s Little Stars programme to continue supporting our members from birth.
