About this race:
Each year, Shine hosts an Awareness Week campaign which aims to celebrate, educate and inform, putting Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus under the spotlight as we aim to increase knowledge of these complex, life limiting, yet poorly understood conditions.
This year, we're giving you the opportunity to take part in one of our unique, environmentally friendly 'Virtual' Balloon Races. A safe, ethical, computer simulated alternative to the classic Balloon Race, participants can personalise and design their own balloon - add a photo to pay tribute to a loved one, or your company logo to promote your small business to the wider community - you can even choose how thick you want the latex to be, and how much helium you'll add to give your balloon the best possible chance of lasting the week and travelling the furthest distance.
If that all sounds too complicated, don't worry! You can still use the default settings (but where's the fun in that?)
The race gets underway at 10:00am on Monday 22nd October to conicide with the launch of Awareness Week 2018 and balloons cost just £15. You can buy as many as you like to increase your chances of winning one of our exciting prizes, only one thing's for certain...you've got to be in it, to win it!
