Shine supports thousands of adults living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The challenges our adult members can face daily are many and complex, ranging from health complications, financial hardship and social isolation to a lack of career opportunities and discrimination.
Shine’s professional team provide tailored information and advice on areas including health, benefits, housing, education, employment and social opportunities. The team ensures that members can access all the vital services they need, at the point at which they need them.
Shine also offers education and support to employers, helping them to better understand the needs of and make appropriate adjustments for employees with the conditions.
Our aim is to enable, engage and empower adults with spina bifida and hydrocephalus to make informed choices about the lives they want to lead. Your donation would enable Shine to continue to help members develop confidence and make their voices heard.
